Wel, it has been awhile, and lots has gone on. Monday was eerily good. The time went fast, Jeff came over and joked around with us which always made my day, but it was short lived because right before I was going home, I was told that sales were slow. I knew this couldn’t be good, but hat could I do. Instead of laying me off they wanted me to become a 1099, which is like a freelance designer, only I have to take out my own taxes. Annnnd they wanted me to work from home on the projects they give me. Doesn’t sound too bad right? True, but I want a full time job ya know? I want a steady pay check with the steady hours I put in. Anyway, I went in Tuesday and we got a computer working…it took 4 hours!!!!! I was so stressed out on the inside I couldn’t wait to get home. I took a nap and then we went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse because it was Chandler’s 10 birthday (Matt’s cousin’s little boy). Matt’s aunt had been concerned about her job at the car manufacturing company and it was this week that her section was up for being laid off. We went to the near by Best Buy and picked up Zach and Miri Make a Porno (hilarious) and Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist (a new one to me). We came home and watched Nick and Norah and that movie is FANTASTIC! It’s going to be a regularly watched movie. GO SEE IT! I had calmed down by then, but knew I still want to keep my options open for things. Wednesday we got up, had breakfast, watched some TV and then got ready and we went to the gym for awhile. I actually did some running on the treadmill (I hate running so I never do it)…I dunnnnnno if it was the stress that’s been slowly eating at me or the fact that Powerman 5000′s song When Worlds Collide came on, but I just had to run (a very Forest Gump line don’t you think?). After the gym I took Matt to the VW service place to pick up his car. I went home after I dropped him off and he came home a little after me. I was in the process of booking a flight home and arranging for Noel, my fur child of a cat, to fly back to Utah, when Matthew came home and was puddering around and put a plate of something wrapped up in front of me. He had stopped by the homemade tamale place and picked some up and made me one for lunch…it was delicious. We stayed in and watched What Women Want (one of the romantic comedies he brought home) and then went to bed.
Thursday (yesterday), I went to the nail salon. I waiiiiiited forever, but I wasn’t in a hurry so eh, didn’t bother me. These three girls, at the time, were waiting when I ha just sat down. I seriously seriously thought they were in high school. There were two other girls at the nail stations who def seemed like they were in high school and the one was quite and pretty, while the other was talking up a storm to the guy doing her nails about this and that and I heard her talk about her boyfriend who was 25 and the guy was like “um how old are you?” and she replied “19…but it works and theres no problem with it.” I’m not a stickler for age, but to me that was a lil much. Atleast for that age if it was like a 23 year old and 31 year old…ehhhh it OKAY, but at least both parties have had some maturing…geez. Back to the three girls. they were all getting pedi’s and before they sat in the pedi chairs the skinny girl…omg…was giving political advice. “Let’s just bomb the whole country and high tail it out.” Genius? (sarcasm) though I wish sometimes…anyway the way this girl looked was tragic. Her nails acrylic nails were long and the tips seemed to flare out a lil (it was a lil weird) but the tip colors (yes colors) were bright purple and green sparkly!!! It was thickly done and it looked retarded…I’m sorry, but that nail job was haaaaaanious. Now, her hair had that smoothed down front part and the 80′s teased top on the rest of her head going on. She was a mess…but she was married…surprise! Yea she was married to a military guy. Then I thought about the other two…yea they BOTH had kids…I think the skinny one did too, but can’t remember. These girls didn’t look a day over 20 and the one had a 5 year old!? HOW OLD WERE THEY!? It was disturbing. Then when I was almost done my fill, 3 other girls walked in HOW I KNOOOOOOW HAD TO BE in high school and the current 3 girls were all like “Haaaaaaaaay!” Omg I was so confused lol. After my nails I went to Walmart because I was in desperate need of a desk. I found an L shaped one that was perfect and would fit and I grabbed a small desk lamp and peaced out. The desk was VERY heavy. When I got home I ended up rolling it into the house and then took the next several hours putting it together, cleaning, and putting computers together. Still not done in the computer hooking up area, but I’m close. I also found out yesterday 2 things, one bad, and one very good. Let’s do the bad news first. Michelle, Matt’s aunt got the word she was laid off and Matt said he heard she wasn’t happy…I don’t blame her. In good news MY BROTHER HAD HIS BABY!!!!!! Dork didn’t call me…but Jane, my step mom emailed me saying SHHHHEEEEE, yes I have a new niece was doing just perfect she was 8 pounds 9 ounces and 20 inches long. Her name is Simone Bailey Hymiller and she’s super cute from the two pics I got. She has my nose when I was a baby, so she def inherited the Hymiller girl nose. I can’t wait to see her when I come home at the end of the month. Back to life here now. I watched Grey’s double episode thing with Private Practice which was pretty cool and it was good. Matt came home a liiil after after 11 and we sat down and watched Food Network (Ace of Cakes!) then went to bed. I’m gonna work on “work” today and try to get it at least a design of my choice built. I just made a pizza so I’m gonna peace out and eat it! Caio!
